General Summary

The Washington Peer Network Coordinator is the connective force that brings Peer Washington’s mission to life through intentional relationship building, community collaboration, and peer-centered programming. This role ensures that all aspects of the Washington Peer Network operate with purpose, inclusion, and authenticity, strengthening connections among peers, partners, and communities statewide.

The coordinator leads with empathy, organization, and initiative balancing program operations with human connection. They ensure that all WPN programs, volunteer engagement, community outreach, and partnerships are effectively coordinated, consistently improving, and aligned with the broader goals of the Washington Peer Network.

Primary Responsibilities

Coordinate the daily operations of the Washington Peer Network, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with Peer Washington’s mission and statewide goals.
Oversee the scheduling, facilitation, and delivery of all WPN programming, resource navigation.
Develop and maintain efficient systems for communication, data tracking, and program reporting to ensure transparency and WPN deliverables success.
Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to identify service gaps and expand peer support programming that meet emerging community needs.
Build and sustain meaningful relationships with community partners, service providers, and local organizations to strengthen resource connections and collaborative impact.
Represent the Washington Peer Network at meetings, events, and outreach activities to promote awareness of peer services and increase community participation.
Facilitate opportunities for cross-program learning and partnership within Peer Washington and across regions.
Ensure all programming is accessible, culturally responsive, and reflective of Washington’s diverse peer community.
Actively engage underrepresented populations to ensure equitable access to peer support and community resources.
Model trauma-informed principles of safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment in all interactions and program activities.
Support peers and staff in creating environments that honor lived experience and minimize re-traumatization.
Maintain strong boundaries, confidentiality, and respect in all aspects of peer engagement and coordination.
Collect, analyze, and report program data to assess effectiveness, quality, and impact.
Solicit feedback from participants and partners to guide program enhancements and innovations.
Collaborate with leadership to implement data-informed strategies for sustainability and growth.
Manage program logistics, materials, and communication systems to ensure smooth operations.
Assist with grant and contract deliverables, including documentation, reporting, and outcome tracking.
Support budgeting and resource allocation for program activities in collaboration with leadership.

Required Qualifications

Must identify as a peer: Someone with lived experience with behavioral health challenges and in recovery for a period of at least one year.
High School Diploma / GED.
Valid Washington State driver’s license.
Must have great organizational, documenting, communication, and program development skills.
Ability to be an active listener by asking questions and reflecting on what is being said.
Proficient level of ability with computer software such as Microsoft Office products and Smartsheet.
Ability to work both independently and supervised
Ability to maintain healthy boundaries with peers and co-workers.
Understand how to set up and break down virtual and in person trainings.
Be able to work in a team environment collaborating effectively with multiple diverse individuals and programs.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Strong ability to maintain self-care in a fast-paced demanding employment environment.

Additional Responsibilities

This document is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities. In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the WPN Coordinator will be responsible for any additional tasks that are assigned by the WPN Program Director.

Compensation

Starting wage $24.76 – $27.27 per hour DOE.
Paid Vacation Time – 3 weeks per year, accrued at 4.615hrs per biweekly pay period, 120-hour maximum annual carryover.
Paid Sick Time – 80 Hours per year, accrued at 3.077hrs per biweekly pay period, 480-hour maximum annual carryover.
One Personal Day if hired prior to December 8, 2025. Three Personal Days per quarter thereafter. Personal days do not carry over from year to year, have no monetary value, and are forfeited upon employment separation.
