About
It seems that my whole life I have been called upon to hold space for others. I spent many years supporting families in pregnancy, birth, parenting, and loss. While I provided support for others I myself was holding onto what ever I could grab. Our family struggled with so many things. Depression, anxiety, suicide ideation, alcoholism, abuse, and disfunction.
I was introduced to the peer world, and realized that because of my struggles, the paths I have walked, crawled, and cried on are not paths I learned hope, faith, strength, and so much more on.
I have been blessed to have a dear friend that told me about peer work, and then told me to apply for a position. I found a job that fit me in so many ways.
Life continued to happen, and I chose to walk a life that is authentic, transparent, and full of vulnerability. By walking this life, I have had the opportunity to help so many people, those I work with, and those I encounter in the community.
I am a mom of 5 great children, I am a widow of an amazing person, and I am engaged to an amazing man. I don't know what my future holds, but I do know that I will continue to live the peer life fully.
