About
In my past, I was very fortunate to work for such organizations as the Boys & Girls Club and Woodland Park Zoo. However, I began to struggle with an alcohol addiction in my late 20's that eventually led to poor decisions and many struggles. These struggles led to legal troubles, and everything seemed to become overwhelming. After a horrific car accident in February of 2019, and time served in prison for the accident, I realized how important mental health and support are. I have become dedicated to educating myself and hopefully others about the importance of mental health, facing addiction and seeking support. Since my release from DOC in May of 2024, these are some of the steps I have taken:
* Completed 60-day in-patient treatment at the American Behavioral Health System (July 2024)
* Completed a yearlong Substance Use Disorder Program through Valley Cities (May 2025)
* Completed a 60-hour curriculum for Recovery Coach, Jan 2026, through International Center for Addiction and Recovery Education (Jan 2026)
* Completed the 80-hour curriculum for Certified Peer Support Specialist Program through WA HCA (Mar 2026)
* In June will complete my Associate's in Human Social Services through Walla Walla Community College
