Job Summary:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a business minded, clinically knowledgeable professional possessing in-depth knowledge of behavioral health, substance use disorder (SUD) treatment facilities and operations in a business-to-business environment.
The successful candidate will have proven expertise in behavioral health and substance use disorder as a Business Development Representative or in a clinical/counselor capacity. The top candidates will have pre-existing relevant business relationships across western Washington.
Knowledge of Medicaid referral, behavioral/SUD and co-occurring disorder client progression and continuum of care is a bonus.
Duties and Deliverables
- Daily activities focused on fast business development with high value prospects in Medicaid referral community as needed to seek and win new referents.
- Daily travel throughout western Washington capturing new business.
- Cultivating and developing current/future business opportunities to support ABHS’ increased presence in Medicaid referral market.
- Accurate accounting and reporting of daily field work.
- Meet or exceed assigned goals.
- As BDR, professional conduct and appearance is expected to promote ABHS in a positive and best in class healthcare provider and business partner.
- Participate in ABHS business meetings and functions as instructed.
Qualifications:
- Certification (in good standing) and minimum of 1 year experience as a LSW, SUDP, or Peer
- Excellent Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Minimum 1 year experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder or healthcare environment.
- Minimum 1 year experience new client capture in relevant business field
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer/new business relationship management and service
- Ability to work independently, remotely as well as with team in office or across multi-functional areas.
- Reliable transportation required for frequent travel throughout western Washington

Working Conditions:
- 15% in corporate office
- 85% travel throughout western Washington
