Position Title: Certified Peer Counselor (CPC)
Location: Vancouver, Washington
Reports To: Clinical Supervisor or Program Manager
Position Summary
The Certified Peer Counselor provides recovery‑oriented support services to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use challenges. Drawing from lived experience and peer training, the counselor assists clients in developing recovery skills, connecting with resources, and maintaining engagement in behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide peer support services based on lived experience and recovery principles.
· Assist clients in identifying recovery goals and self‑management strategies.
· Support engagement in treatment and behavioral health programs.
· Connect clients with housing, employment, and community resources.
· Participate in multidisciplinary care team meetings.
· Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
· Participate in supervision and training requirements.
Qualifications
· Washington State Certified Peer Counselor (CPC) credential or eligibility.
· Lived experience with recovery from mental health or substance use challenges.
· Ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in behavioral health or outreach programs.
· Knowledge of community resources in Clark County.
· Experience working within Medicaid-funded behavioral health services.
Compensation
Typical hiring range: $21 – $26 per hour depending on experience.
