The Contract ARM Facilitator (All Recovery Meeting) will host and/or chat-moderate the All Recovery Meetings (ARMs) and other identified WEconnect recovery meetings as qualified and needed. This PSS position would be approximately 5-15 hrs a week depending on availability.
PSS staff facilitate meetings for individuals who are in, or seeking wellness and/or recovery support and model recovery values by utilizing strength-based language when interacting with members and participants.
We host a diverse set of meetings and are looking for folks with diverse lived experience and backgrounds to hold space and facilitate. While you do not have to identify as having lived experience relevant to all the meetings we host, we are looking for individuals who are qualified to host at least one or more meetings.
We are looking for a facilitator who has the lived experience to host the following meetings:
- All-Recovery Support meetings- Support individuals dealing with big life challenges
- Family Support meetings
If it applies to their lived experience and availability, the PSS may facilitate the following specialty meetings in addition:
- LGBTQIA2+ Recovery
- Mens
- Womens
- Spanish Speaking
- Youth
- Grief Support
- Harm Reduction
- And more!
PSS staff demonstrate the ability to facilitate conversations that support diverse recovery pathways (including medication and moderation), intentionally share personal experiences as appropriate and relevant, and have an understanding of and respect for each individual’s unique path to wellness. PSS also utilize various digital tools to organize and execute communication, documentation, and other tasks relevant to their role. Strong communication and conflict resolution skills are essential to this role.
This is a great role for you if:
- You are a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS), Recovery Coach, or have other relevant certification in your home state and/or nationally.
- You are available to host on evenings and/or weekends.
- You have experience facilitating groups, preferably support and/or recovery meetings.
- You are comfortable interacting with technology and individuals to provide support via a digital platform.
- You lead with curiosity first and have a genuine respect for and desire to understand multiple pathways to recovery, including harm reduction.
- You engage with folks through a trauma-informed approach and look for opportunities to validate experiences and feelings that may be shared in meetings.
- You can hold space for people who have different values, opinions, and customs than your own, and you lean in with curiosity rather than judgment.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus but not mandatory
Essential Duties May Include:
- Provide creative, person-centered support through the utilization of community resources, motivational interviewing, positive reinforcement, and strengths-based recovery support delivery.
- Host virtual support meetings through Zoom
- Participate in monthly individual peer-based supervision and monthly facilitator meetings
