The Opportunity
Pier 360 is seeking a WA Certified Peer Counselor to provide supportive housing and other peer support services to individuals in mental health and substance use recovery. In the Peer Support—Housing role, you will support peers in need of obtaining and maintaining stable housing. The Peer Support— Housing staff performs a wide range of tasks to support people living their own lives and directing their own recovery, healing, and wellness.
The Responsibilities
Provide quality peer support services in alignment with Pier 360/CVAB Core Values and Core Competencies for Peer Workers in Behavioral Health Services (SAMHSA). Please refer to the complete position description for more details (available online).
The Qualifications
We are looking for positive people, self-motivated individuals, who have demonstrated the ability to work independently and well with others, are in mental health or substance use recovery, and are good at being with others seeking something better or different in life. This position requires that you be a Certified Peer Counselor in the state of Washington and that you can obtain an Agency Affiliated Counselor credential through the Washington Department of Health.
The Benefits
$19.00-24.00 per hour depending on experience and other considerations related to the position.
